NO YOU ARE NOT UNDER A CURSE (TITHE)

Two days ago, whilst driving to college, I discussed with my favourite person, THE HOLY GHOST, about Tithing because I was tired of hearing the same ole same ole in church. You are UNDER A CURSE if you do not give your Tithe bla bla bla. I told him how angry I feel seeing Christians constantly told things are not working for them because they do not Tithe. He made me understand that Tithing is good but not the most important. The Holy Spirit reminded me of the book of Matthew 23 v 23; Jesus warns us against focusing too much on the rules of Tithing without paying attention to the more essential things like judgment, mercy, and faith. Tithing is an old testament practice that instructs us to give 10% of our earnings to God. Whether we tithe or not, he loves us regardless.

I will tell you a short story: years back, I was broke and out of a job, and I almost got frustrated. I attended this Tuesday prayer meeting weekly in my town; one day, I spoke to a pastor about my inability to get a job. The first thing he said was, do you pay your Tithe? I looked at him and said no, how can I pay my Tithe when I do not have a job? He responded by saying this is why you do not have a job ha ha ha. At that time, I did not believe in Tithing as I was pretty new in the faith. I was so angry in my spirit, asking myself why God would punish me by withholding a job from me for not Tithing. Still, I did not Tithe, not because I didn't want to but because I genuinely did not have money. Honestly, if I had tithed, I would have done it out of fear, which would have been disastrous; my assumptions might be wrong. Then it happened, a few days later I got a job HALLELUYAHHHH!!!. In hindsight, God was trying to tell me I got you, Tithe or no Tithe. Have you ever wondered why you are still the way you are after Tithing all your life? It's because you have been doing it with the wrong mindset of fear.

The church has conditioned us to believe that things will be tight for us if we don't Tithe; we are under a curse and robbing God. I have even heard religious Christians say that you can not make heaven if you do not want Tithe (Laughable). It is all lies and pure manipulation; religion puts fear in people's hearts and puts them under severe bondage. Am I against tithes? No, do I tithe? Yes, and I believe everyone should tithe if lead, and out of their own free will. Why? Because the church needs the money raised from tithes to maintain and run the church; also, it's a way of showing God how much you appreciate and love him. If you are led in your spirit to do more, kindly do so because every penny is needed. However, I'm not too fond of some of these pastors systematically manipulating people repeatedly. The painful part is that their congregants believe these lies; who is to blame, you ask? Pastors or congregants?

I would say the congregants because they have refused to expand their knowledge of the Bible outside what their pastors say in the church. They have refused to read the Bible for themselves, find out what the Bible says about them, their inheritance in Christ, and understand that Jesus already took the curse for them. Did the Bible talk about Tithe in the old testament? Did the Bible say anything about robbing God and a curse? Yes, it did, and it is in Malachi 3 v 6 - 9. Also, God ordered the Israelites to tithe in Leviticus 27:30 and Deuteronomy 26 v 12-13. However, under this new dispensation of grace, you are mandated to give under grace, which has no set rule. We are instructed to give generously; the book of 2 Corinthians 8:3 emphasises this. Jesus also encourages us to give generously in Matthew 25 v 31 - 34. The Bible also says you should give what you have decided in your hearts in 2 Corinthians 9:7. Jesus never ordered his disciples to Tithe but was supported by his followers, who gave generously.

Tithing is essential, but that you do not Tithe doesn't mean you are an evil Christian; God loves you regardless of whether you give. What I am saying, in essence, is that Tithing is proper but do not do it under duress. Are we still under a curse for not Tithing? We are not; how can God curse what he has blessed? In Galatians 3 v 10, Apostle Paul said that when we do part of the law and not all, we put ourselves under a curse. However, Galatians 3 v 13 tells us that Christ rescued us from the curse that came with the law by becoming a curse for us, and it says that CURSED BE THE ONE THAT HUNG UPON A TREE, and you think you are under a curse?

Now Listen and Listen well.

Do not let anyone force you to tithe because if you tithe under pressure or out of fear, you will not enjoy the open heaven God talked about. You are simply giving under compulsion.

Tithing does not make you holier than the person who doesn't Tithe.

Tithing does not guarantee you a place in heaven, do not let anybody threaten you that if you do not Tithe, you will not make heaven.

You heavens will not be closed if you do not Tithe. Do not let anyone threaten you with your heaven will be closed.

I will reiterate it here; YOU ARE NOT UNDER A CURSE. God has blessed you with all spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:13). When you gave life to Christ, you became a child of God John 1 v 12. Finally, the book of John 8 v 36 says if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. Know this and know peace.

IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE UNDER A CURSE, THEN YOU NEVER BELIEVED IN THE FINISHED WORK ON THE CROSEE OF CALVARY

WITH JOY, GIVE GENEROUSLY
